| The Bothy
A Bothy was where the unmarried male farm hands used to sleep. Things have improved since those days and this Bothy sleeps four in two separate bedrooms on the first floor. One has a double bed and the other twin beds. The ground floor consists of an open lounge/dining area with a fitted kitchen. There is an entrance hall with the shower room off. This cottage has full oil fired central heating plus a wood burning stove. The private garden is accessible through the French window from the lounge and faces South with similar views to the Hayloft. |

The Byre The Byre was the term for the building where the cattle were kept but they would have to have been very athletic animals as this Byre is on three floors and sleeps five. The ground floor has an entrance hall, shower room and bedroom with a single bed and a set of bunk beds. The lounge/kitchen/dining area is on the first floor. There is a large attic style double bedroom on the second floor, with provision for a single "Z bed". This cottage has full oil fired central heating but no wood burning stove or open fire. There is a lawned area outside the cottage with a picnic table and views similar to the Stables Cottage. |

For larger parties there is an option available. The Byre and Bothy are close to each other and we find the arrangements of taking both these cottages particularly suits families holidaying together. There is the convenience of being close to each other with the advantage of privacy when required.
We do also have a cot available on request.
