The Hayloft Cottage

The Hayloft is on two floors and sleeps two in a double bedroom on the lower floor. It consists of a entrance porch, dining/lounge area and fitted kitchen on the first floor.  The cottage has full oil fired central heating plus a wood burning stove. The view from the kitchen is to the North West looking out to the fells. It makes even washing up a pleasure!

The lounge is fully furnished with 2 arm chairs and 2  reclining leather chairs as well as TV, Video, Hi Fi and a wood burning stove. The kitchen/dining area has everything you would need for a self catering break. (The local pubs do wonderful food and Wilf's Cafe in the village offers indulgent breakfasts, so you don't have to cook. Lucy's of Ambleside will even take your order and deliver great food to your door!)

There is a private garden with picnic table and magnificent views to the south down the valley to Kendal and beyond to the sea at Morecambe Bay. The garden is a magnificent spot to sit and enjoy a cool drink whilst watching the kestrels which fly from the nearby trees.

The bedroom is downstairs with plenty of room for its double bed and a sitting area. The views from the bedroom make for very leisurely morning tea in bed.

The shower room/toilet is off the hallway adjacent to the bedroom.
Outside  is a fenced garden, barbeque and garden furniture  for guests use as well as an additional supply of logs for the stove.
The footpath to Brunt Knott Fell passes the front door.
